Autumn is here, this is what we felt when we saw the harvest moon this week in Kyoto. The heat has died down and we are slightly below 29 Celsius during the days now, which feels very nice compared to the heat of summer. Thanks to some days of great and sunny weather, we were able to observe the harvest moon in it’s full splendor. Observing the beautiful harvest moon while having something to eat and drink with some one you care for, is certainly something else.
During this time of year, you often see many couples like this sitting along the Kamogawa river in Kyoto, and nearby there is also the Pontocho, a very famous area with a lot of small restaurants, many of which offer tables on a “veranda” where you can meet with your beloved and enjoy a meal while looking over the river and the moon in the sky.
This week we have only one thing left to do, and that is to announce our last nominee for the 7th ‘Win a trip to Japan’ event held here at Tozando. So without further delay, we would like to congratulate Mr. Ismail Hasan from the United Kingdom, you are the last nominee this time around! Now all the remains is to pick the winner, which will probably be done sometime next week. Whom will it be? Who ever it is, remember that as long as you don’t reply to our winners e-mail, it doesn’t matter if you get picked or not. So to all of our nominee’s, be sure to check your e-mail the coming week!
On another note, we just wanted to remind you that Monday (the 15th) is a public holiday in Japan, this means that the Tozando offices will be closed during this time and we will not be able to reply to your e-mails or process any of your orders. But as always, we will be back to you as soon as we are back on Tuesday.
We are very excited and curious to see whom we will get to meet in Kyoto this time around, so stay tuned, because the announcement will be coming soon!
