2016/06/02 – New Premium line of Aikido Gi & Pants!

Tozando has always had a very strong line up of Aikido Uniforms and Hakama, although the last few years we have seen an increased demand and slower shipping times due to unfortunate accidents such as the “Fire accident” we had in our textile factory last year and other factors. We have constantly been trying to build up our stocks and increase the production at the Tozando factory in Iwate, even changing to a larger location to allow for more craftsmen to work more smoothly in late 2014. It took some time but we are starting to see the results of our efforts, and we would like to thank you for your patience and kindness during this time.

Now, Thanks to the increased amount of experienced Craftsmen working in the Tozando Iwate Factory, we can today introduce three new premium quality Aikido Gi & Pants sets, ‘AI‘, ‘KI‘, ‘DO‘. As their name suggests these are the essence of traditional Aikido, made according to tradition, but everyone knows that Tozando never stops there, we also decided to make use of our experience and know-how to provide these premium Aikido Gi and Pants with some functions that are unique to Aikido. For example, we improved the cut of our Gi making the armpit tighter, allowing you to freely move your arm in high positions, without having to re-adjust your Gi as much, a change that makes a lot of difference in terms of comfort and usage. We have also removed the back-seam these new premium line of Aikido Gi, so that you don’t have to worry about landing on it when doing Ukemi, because we all know that doesn’t feel very nice! And of course, all Gi and pants are made in Japan, by the craftsmen in the Tozando Iwate Factory, so you know what kind of quality you are paying for.
